How to charge a specific $/unit cost to a customer for labor

In this example, we're looking at how you can input a $/unit cost for the labor cost of a particular part in your estimate.

Simple Steps:

Let's say you're installing a ceramic tile floor and you want to charge $1.50/square foot for the installation labor. Well, that's easy!

  1. First, Open the Part by clicking on the blue edit button  

  2. Make sure the “Labor Cost Calculation” is checked  

  3. Click the “Hours/unit” and select “$/unit”

  4. Type in the $/unit that you want for labor cost of this item 

  5. [Optional] Adjust your labor rate to get an accurate estimate for labor hours
